My got!

I refuse to blame the Cambodians for the mistake on this T-shirt, if mistake it is. I saw this text on a mannequin today at the City Mall here in Phnom Penh.

I was doing some last minute Christmas shopping.

I know. It's Phnom Penh. It's Cambodia. The over- whelming majority of Cambodians are Buddhists. But Cambodia is now very open to international holidays of all sorts. I mean, they celebrate three New Year Days. Lucky them.

So yeah, I was Christmas shopping for Cambodian friends. Buddhists one and all. Lucky them too.

Anyway, almost all the goods on sale at this mall are made in China as this t-shirt was. So if it is a mistake, it was a Chinese company that made it.

Is it a misspelling? Probably. But I don't even know, can't even guess, if the sentiment makes any sense to modern Germans, even if Gott were spelled correctly.
